Our amazing nurses and trainers, having worked with families, children and care staff, were frustrated by the lack of clarity and accredited credible training for complex care. We have trained staff to the highest standard. Our nurses and clinical support staff have maintained those standards; unfortunately, competencies were not standardised and the lack of consistency was a major concern for both nursing staff and the families alike.
Feedback over the years from clients and CCGs highlighted the lack of client specific training and clinical accountability. So, we researched standards and set about creating a programme that would be measured, scrutinised and above all standardised. In March the hard work paid off: we were accredited.
Our assessors, clinicians and support specialists, have over 40 years combined experience. Safe practice and best practices are embedded at the core of what we do. Accredited competency across the complex care sector of our industry, we believe is the way forward.
